FIGHT NIGHT I in Lewiston, Maine was a huge success! NEW ENGLAND FIGHTS! is proud to report that just over 3,100 fans witnessed the first-ever MMA event at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, and they saw 19 great fights on February 11! Thanks to the fans and the great fighters on the card, we shattered the previous attendance record for an MMA event in Maine by nearly 1,300! It was also just about 700 more fans in attendance than the Ali-Liston II World Heavyweight Title rematch at the venue in 1965 which had a figure of 2,434. Lewiston has spoken and they love their MMA! Check back here as we announce our return to Lewiston for later this year.
